Dashboard Analytics

A dashboard overview that turns orders, products, and customers into revenue, activity, sales pace, recent customer, and fulfillment signals.

Overview

Dashboard Analytics gives the owner a fast operating view of the business. It is not a deep BI suite yet. It is the everyday command center: current revenue, order volume, catalog size, customer growth, sales pace, recent orders, recent customers, and fulfillment progress.

This matters because Billions+ is moving toward an operating system for small businesses. Automation should not feel invisible or uncontrolled. The dashboard lets the owner see what kept moving while they were away, whether the business is getting stronger, and where attention is needed today.

How It Works

The dashboard home page reads products, orders, and customers for the active business. It derives view-model data locally from those arrays so the widgets stay easy to test and reason about.

Revenue is calculated from order totals. Revenue change compares the current calendar month to the previous calendar month, with clear empty states such as "No sales yet" or "New this month". Sales bars show one bar per day in the current month, with a previous-month comparison behind it so owners can see pace, not just total volume.

Recent orders are sorted by creation time and mapped into a compact activity list. Recent customers combine customer records with order aggregates so the owner can see who is returning and how much they have spent. Fulfillment summarizes delivered, in-progress, pending, and cancelled order percentages.

Components

Stat Cards

The top row shows revenue, orders, products, and customers. Each card has a label, value, change caption, and icon. Products currently use an honest "Catalog size" caption because inventory quantity is not a released data source yet.

Sales Chart

The sales chart uses daily order totals for the current month and a ghost comparison for the previous month. It helps owners understand whether sales are moving at a healthy pace before the month ends.

Recent Orders

Recent orders show the latest operational activity with customer, product summary, amount, status, and relative time. Status labels are simplified into completed, processing, pending, and cancelled.

Fulfillment Gauge

The fulfillment gauge compresses order status into a delivery health signal. It helps an owner see whether the business is actually completing orders, not only receiving them.

Operating Proof

The operating proof starts with the signals owners check first: revenue, orders, products, customers, sales pace, recent activity, and fulfillment health. Orders, products, and customers become daily operating signals instead of disconnected records.
